Red Button Publishing in the media
KAREN INGS has worked as a commissioning editor in trade publishing for fifteen years. Developing projects on a freelance basis for clients such as Quercus and Penguin gave her the freedom to explore new avenues, and she leapt at the opportunity to set up Red Button with Caroline. She reads widely across all genres; recent fiction favourites include Life Drawing , The First Bad Man and Higher Ed . A lifelong North Londoner, she was lured away from the mean streets of Finsbury Park to live in Richmond with her husband; she is still acclimatising to life with a Surrey postcode.

Karen is reading: An Untamed State by Roxane Gay. “I love her writing; I’m lining up Bad Feminist next.”
CAROLINE GOLDSMITH has worked in publishing for fifteen years in various roles including sales, marketing, publicity, rights and contracts, for companies like Aurum Press, Tate Publishing and Dorling Kindersley/The Penguin Group. In 2012 she started designing digital artwork for a writer friend and saw the opportunity to set up Red Button with Karen. Favourite authors include David Mitchell, Margaret Atwood, Stephen King and Neil Gaiman. She reads as widely as she possibly can but has a penchant for a really good horror. She lives in Suffolk with her husband and her cat.

Caroline is reading: “ The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. “I haven’t read this classic since university and I am re-reading for a book club I attend. Possibly the most perfect novel ever written.”
