Tony and I are fending off to hot and humid Minnesota for a wedding this weekend. I notice it sort of feels loopy to mention hot and humid, however every time I take a look at the weather in Minnesota it says 85-90.
After the marriage on Friday, we’re heading up to my Godparent’s cabin up north. Since I used to be 6 months outdated, I’ve been heading up to the cabin with my family — it holds such particular reminiscences and I can’t wait to calm down, cook scrumptious meals with my Godfather and naturally, watch Tony go fishing for hours and hours. I’m bringing a few books with me for somewhat R&R time together with Crazy Rich Asians, and a brand new to me book, The Body Keeps Score, which I’m much more occupied with. If you've got any MUST READ books, let me know! I love listening to your suggestions.
So, anyway — let’s communicate concerning the sprouts. Have you ever grilled brussels sprouts prior to? They’re delicious, particularly when coated with this candy and spicy maple dijon sauce. The sprouts will caramelize moderately and have an exquisite char from the grill. Who may withstand.
I have to confess, the toughest phase about this recipe is getting them at the skewer, however it’s so worth it as a result of hi… look how cute end up. I extremely suggest drizzling them along with your favorite sauce too — maybe a siracha aioli or a garlic tahini sauce? YASSS.
Enjoy this recipe. Great 12 months round and good for you too.

Spicy maple grilled brussels sprouts are probably the most scrumptious side dish. The brussels sprouts get caramelized and quite charred at the outside and are filled with candy and spicy flavor.
- 1 pound brussels sprouts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
- 1-2 tablespoons dijon mustard
- 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- ½ teaspoon salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
Preheat grill to medium top heat (about 400 levels F) and flippantly oil the grate.
Cut off the stem of the brussels sprouts (simply the white phase at the backside) and take away any outer yellow leaves. Be very careful not to cut too much off the stem, another way the leaves will all fall off!
Place brussels sprouts in a large bowl.
In a small bowl, whisk in combination the olive oil, maple syrup, dijon, garlic, cayenne, salt and pepper. Pour in all places the brussel sprouts and toss till they’re full lined.
Skewer 4-5 brussels onto each skewer. Reserve additional sauce within the backside of the bowl.
Place skewers on grill, cooking for about 5-7 mins per aspect, or until brussels sprouts are golden brown and rather charred. Before serving, brush brussels with any final sauce and sprinkle with slightly further salt, if desired. Serves 4.
