- 1 cup packed brown sugar (darkish is excellent, but light also works!)
- 1/4 cup blackstrap molasses
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Dry ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 ½ teaspoons flooring ginger
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon allspice

- 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
