Red Button Publishing in the media
We are currently closed for submissions until further notice.
We are looking for brilliant fiction and great writers! If you would like to submit your work to Red Button, here are some guidelines:
We will consider all genres of non-illustrated, prose fiction (sorry: no children’s books at present). Try us!
All work submitted must be your own.
We would prefer files submitted as Word documents but can also accept Apple Pages and .rtf formats.
Send us the first few sample chapters of your work.
Include a detailed synopsis.
Include an introduction to yourself and your work:
Who are you?
Have you published or self-published before?
Who is the target audience for your work?
What genre would you say your work fits into?
Is the work a stand-alone title or do you have a series in the works?
Please send us a word count. We generally think that novels should be in excess of 50,000 words but we are happy to consider shorter works, including novellas.

We will endeavour to respond to all queries, but please be patient and bear in mind that we are only two mere mortals!
Why publish with us?
We aren’t able to offer advances but we do offer a very generous royalty split; we believe that publishing takes teamwork.
If we like your book we will publish it both as a paperback (as of 2015) and digitally under the Red Button imprint.
Your book will be professionally copy-edited and we will work closely with you in the editorial process to make your book the best it can be.
We will format your book for print and digital publication and handle distribution.
We will give your book a great cover design.
We will work to promote your work, through this website and via our Twitter feed as well as through influential book blogs and any other ways we can.
We will advise and support you on social media.
We will do everything we can to get your book to the right reader.
Unlike some larger organisations, we involve our writers at every stage of the publishing process.
We will not charge you any fees upfront to read or publish your work. Red Button is not a vanity publisher. We believe in the books we publish!
